A non-refundable retainer agreement is a contract that allows you to retain a certain amount of the total cost of service in exchange for holding the date and/or time. Similar to a Deposit but reworded to prevent refunds.
A RETAINER and DEPOSIT are NOT the same
By definition, a retainer is a fee paid in advance used to hold goods or services. A deposit is a payment towards goods or services, usually returned once the goods or services have been acquired.
This legal contract is designed to inform the client that they agree to submit a portion of the total amount of the service cost as a retainer and NOT JUST A DEPOSIT
Specific clauses designed for this industry:
- Prevent you from the need to refund a deposit if the clients choose to cancel the event.
- Clients will NOT have the ability to get a refund
- The contract can be edited to determine the client's ability to move dates or make changes.
